Icemeggedon

{via}
Today is a beautiful ice day here in Dallas. The temps changed over 50 degrees this week- just craziness I tell you... I thought I would share a couple of my recent beauty purchases that I am now obsessed with.

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I am a hoarder of many things- especially curling irons, flat irons and hair dryers. Well my friends those days are over. I recently purchased a Babylis hair dryer and my hair is forever grateful. My thick, fine, curly hair is now smooth and shiny and the ends aren't splitting with every use. Worth. Every. Penny.

 Yesterday I went to the dermatologist (my favorite doctor to visit!) because my Rosacea has been really bothering me. She recommended I use Cerave moisturizer and I have to tell you in 24 hours my skin feels almost 100% healed. Miracle worker in a tub for $18.

 One last product that I am now also hooked onto is Blinc Mascara. I LOVE this product for everyday use- it doesn't coat your lashes like regular mascara- it tubes them and is SUPER easy to remove. Now it doesn't give you lashes that look fake but it gives plenty of coverage for everyday use and when you wash your face at night the tubes just wash away so no dark eye circle.

Bella Ink Holiday

{via}
What is there not to love about these invitations for holiday parties from Bella Ink?! I always love Bella Ink's designs but I especially love her Holiday release this year. I am a big fan of how she mixes whimsy with a bit of sass- it truly makes her designs her own. I love how they got on board with the chalk board designs that have been everywhere this season but still kept the designs looking timeless.  I feel like these invites are for the kind of party I want to go to!

Sugar Paper

Sometime I feel like I could write a blogpost everyday about my love for a Sugar Paper item and I would be happy. Seriously I love everything they do and their Holiday collection does not differ. This year they introduced amazing photo cards. I love these cards and they are sure to be sell outs- they beat anything you can do online. I love the classic stripes and polka dots (who doesn't love a foiled dot!) and the envelopes all come lined and the cards are greeted! If photo cards are your thing I am sure your family, kids, grandkids, or dogs would look great on any of these cards!

Rifle Paper Holiday

{via}
Let's keep the Holiday theme rolling around here and onto Rifle Paper Co.'s amazing collection for the Holidays. I am pretty sure there is nothing Rifle Paper does that everyone doesn't love. This is one of my favorite lines that I sell because not only do I always love it but my stores always get excited to see what is coming next from Mrs. Bond. I am pretty obsessed with their plaid wrap this year and if I HAD to pick a favorite card it would probably be the colorblock Be Merry and Bright card. I also love the Holiday Snow Scene postcard (great for anyone who spends their Holiday in the mountain skiing!) and The stickers are the best that I have seen out there for easy gift tags! Really you can never go wrong with anything from Rifle.

Mr. Boddington's Studio

Wow- October is over?! How did that happen?! October was very busy for me- if you follow me on instagram you may have seen that I traveled back-to-back weekends to New York City and then home to Atlanta. The next week Matt and I closed on our first house and so now we in a full on purging and packing mode. I have been doing a lot of shopping for the new house and I have loved loved loved all the holiday decor being out in the stores. Also the temps have dropped here in Dallas (only in the 60's during the day this week!) and so it really feels like we moving into the Holiday season. I thought I would share today one of my favorite designer for stationery and cards- Mr. Boddington's Studio. What I love so much about Mr. Boddington's is that doesn't take itself too seriously. I love all the hand illustrations and the quality is amazing. If you have some down time take a look at some of their custom wedding invites- seriously to die for. I have sent their Holiday cards before and I may or may not be using Mr. Boddington's Nephew for my moving announcement *hint hint wink wink* I love how their Holiday cards use so much color and the look is always their own. I'll try and share a couple more card designers I love this week and next!

Kate Spade New York

I am not good at keeping secrets. Anyone who even kind of knows me knows that you should never tell me anything that is not shareable (and if you don't know me you have been warned for when we do become friends, ha!) I have known a pretty big secret most of the year and with that being said, we found out at the beginning of the year that we would have a BIG addition to our line packages this spring with the release of Kate Spade stationery and gift. Now I feel like Kate and I have been friends for a long time- I own a black nylon bags, wallets, moved into black and white stripes with her and really feel like this is a brand I identify with season after season. This week the collection is going to be hitting the stores and it is really awesome to get to see how excited everyone is for it! All of the collection is actually pretty affordable and I think brings a big bang with it's price point.

What I wore Wednesday

With it almost being fall here in Dallas I thought I would share my favorite purchase so far for the season.I first saw these boots on Pinterest and I fell in love. I have a tough time with boots because I have a high instep and I have to have boots with a zipper because I can't step into boots (totally weird and such a life burden, I know.) These are perfect to wear with a flowy dress and also great with skinny jeans.  I love the cut out detail in the back since there are such few really cold days in Dallas so it is nice to have the extra air flow.

Karen Adams Designs

{via}

One of my favorite lines that I sell is Karen Adams Designs. She does an amazingly beautiful calendar that we sell so many of sometimes I am sure every person in Dallas must have one. During the New York Stationery Show in May she released a series of Cabana Striped notecards that just make me happy. I love the bright colors with the sweet sayings in gold foil... really anything gold foiled wins my heart these days! I love cards like these because they are perfect to write a quick note but they could also work as a birthday card or thank you or congrats with just a couple of lines written on them.

Wedding Wednesday

{via}
For my first Wedding Wednesday back at blogging I thought it would be fun to share my save the date today. Planning a wedding is such hard work and really I would never want to plan another one (ha!) but looking back I love the way everything came together. I felt a lot of pressure to have an original save the date and really I had a tough time finding something that I felt like "us" until I saw this Martha Stewart editorial and then I knew I had found something that I loved. We had our save the dates printed locally in Dallas on white linen cocktail napkins which we thought would set the tone for the kind of wedding we wanted (festive and fun!) We then mounted them on Waste Not Paper so they could be mailed and so we would have somewhere to include the detail. Looking back I still love them!

Happy Labor Day

Where did the summer go?! I feel like it always flies by but this summer felt exceptionally quick. This being the unofficial end of summer (it will still be hot in TX for another month so our summer isn't over yet!) I thought I would share a few links for fall links! Happy Labor Day!

- Love these platters if college football is your thing!
- Have you bought your fall agenda yet? I love the new Kate Spade Agendas
- I am thinking I need this Cape in my life- I haven't bought a new jacket in years (we use them so few times) but I love this!
- We had our second annual End of Summer Super at our house last weekend and this Corn dish was amazing! I highly recommend it if you need to feed a crowd!

Party Proof

{via}

So I have been getting Birchbox for about a year and I love it (seriously it almost always makes my day when I see it in the mailbox!) I love product so it is a great way to always have new things to try. Last month the included a full lipstick  from ModelCo. that I have fallen head over heels for so when they sent an email saying there was a special I was all in. There are 2 limited edition 3 packs made exclusively for Birchbox- I picked up Party Proof because I feel like I own classics in other brands. At first I felt a little uneasy about buying lipstick that I have never tried on but really every color worked for me. This is one of the only lipsticks I have found that doesn't dry out my lips and the brights are perfect when you just need that pop of color! Even better, I bought 3 lipsticks for $24 and got free shipping. Pretty sure that's what I pay for 1 Nars or Bobbi Brown color.

Monogram Monday

Lets just get this out of the way- I am a sucker for monograms and even more of a sucker for stationery. A week or two ago I was at Needle in a Haystack working when a flipchart of stationery goody caught my eye so before leaving I checked it out and I fell in love. Haute Papier has some of the best personalized stationery out there. The liners are amazing! I love the bright colors mixed with the modern lettering. Even better that it's pretty fairly priced (50 letterpressed cards with a liner will run you about $150.)

OneCanoeTwo

Uhm, holy cuteness. OneCanoeTwo's release just showed up at my house (thanks for the treats!) and it's awesome! I love love love this line!  It is always adorable and every release is better than the last and they have a blog where they have been blogging pie recipes all year (who doesn't love pie?!) One of my favorite items that will be available this fall is their giant calendar- the pictures don't do it enough justice- it is truly awesome.

it's been a great year

{via}

I took a year off from blogging. Not really intentional but life just seems to pick up speed and there wasn't much time (or inspiration if I am being honest.) But I am back. I love my new fresh blog design (Thanks Fabulous K!) I am going to try to switch it up a bit. Still plenty of posts of what I am selling and seeing but maybe having more domestic post too since I have been a wife for over a year now (crazy!) I hope that everyone enjoys where this goes!
