Just got word from they vet that she has never seen a dog with hypothyroid this bad! Hooray (strange that this is good news!) So Mabry will be on thyroid medicine for the rest of his life but the vet said this will not effect the length of his life. We are not totally in the clear yet on the kidneys- they will be re checked in 2 months once the thyroid meds have had enough time to get stable. Thanks for thinking about us today!
Glad Mabry is going to be okay! I know it scary to have a sick dog. My family's dog Chipper (he lives with my parents) has diabetes and it can be very stressful. I hope Mabry gets her hypothyroid under control! :)
